This is a Great Place for Family Pictures! Come meet the Raines Family.
Since Maureen and I were married in 2000, we have used family pictures as our Christmas cards. Some have had cute messages, especially the last few years. All have had a theme. Here are our family pictures from those cards, and a few bonus family pix thrown in, too.
By the way, haven't we aged gracefully? ;-)
Haven't the girls become more beautiful every year?

Megan insisted her doll, named "Tiny Baby", be in the picture again!
2011
Taken on the beach in Bethany, we tried for 2 days over Thanksgiving to get this picture! It was so warm this year, I was sure it would be great. The first day it was so sunny, there was no way we were going to get it. The last day that we were there started off overcast -yea! But by the time we got dressed and out there, the clouds had burnt off and it was a bright day again. Maureen then said, "Can we take it by the ramp in the shade?" My wife is a genius sometimes!

2010
We have been attending "Breakfast with Santa" for many years at Megan's school, and had this picture taken there. The message read,
"All the best from Santa and the Raines, dear!"

This is the only picture we have used in a Christmas card since 2001, where I did not take the picture!

Did you notice this picture on our return address envelopes for our Christmas cards that year?
2010
This was first alternate for the 2010 Christmas card. It was a little too much like 2009 so we went with the picture seen above. We could have used the same message though, with Santa in both pictures.

Megan wanted her doll, that she had named "Tiny Baby," in the picture, so I put her name on the card also. When some people read the card, they mistakenly assumed that "Tiny Baby" meant we had another baby on the way. We had a good chuckle about that one!

Megan just had to have Tiny Baby in the picture!

Don't the girls look adorable? They insisted they all smile, but I was to look serious.
 2009
Here is an "extra" I threw in for the fun of it. Jessie (and Maureen too, I think) wanted to do one of those "Old Time Photos" and they had a shop in Bethany that summer, so I finally consented. We all agreed on the "pose." Megan really got a kick out of dressing up and doing the picture, too.

I usually like our outdoor pictures better than our indoor ones, but this one I really did like. Notice the Wii game on the TV behind us and all of us holding Wii controllers. The message read,
"Wii Wish You A Merry Christmas!"

See the "Wii Fit" on the TV and the Balance Board behind the speaker?

2007
The original message on the card said,
"May your days be merry, and bright."
I added this bit of verse to the printing,
"And may all your Christmases be Pink!"

I became a Maryland Terp fan back in 1971, watching the first Lefty Driesell UM basketball team. That's why I went to College Park and why we still go to Terp games!
I love Megan pointing in this picture! I still have no clue what she is pointing at!

Check out Jessie's Terp Cheerleader Teddy Bear sneaking into the picture.

Here is a late addition bonus picture from 2006. Maybe my favorite family picture of all. The family was invited to the summer wedding of a friend's daughter (OK, Elvis did appear with the band also). The wedding photographer was walking around taking informal pictures of the guests, and he got a great one here.

Look at how adoringly Jessie is looking at her baby sister. She loves her so much!

This was taken at our first tailgate with all four of us there before a Ravens game.
2005
I have been a Ravens fan since their beginnings. Maureen grew up near Baltimore. It was a match made to be! And we have raised our girls right, too.

2005
Our first newly-enlarged, family picture. This picture was on the old website and thanked all of those whose prayers and thoughts help make Megan, a most wonderful new addition and make our family complete.

Megan was born on August 18th, 2005. This is our first picture all together!

We were a bike riding family that summer!
2004
We went to DisneyWorld over spring break and had an incredible time. With all of the biking we did that summer, it seemed wearing our Disney T-Shirts by our beach bikes made the perfect 2004  family picture theme!

2003
We still love the beach in the fall. One weekend we had Jessie, we went out on the beach and were tickled with this picture. I wasted a lot of film taking different shots that didn't work that day!

We took this picture during the fall of 2003, one weekend on the beach.

I guess girls with their hair in bangs was in that year?
2002
We stayed on our own playground and went for the swings. The caption said,
"The Raines' Wish You A Swinging New Year!"

2001

This first Family Christmas Card picture that we took, was one of the best! We have always wanted to do another picture there on the sliding board, but the neighbors cut down the bushes in the background and it doesn't look near as nice!  :-(

On the backyard sliding board in 2001.

As soon as I find it, it will be put up!

2000
Our first real family picture was from our wedding pictures. We loved this picture of the three of us together from right after the wedding in the gardens at Mrs. K's Tollhouse.

1999
The very first holiday, family picture, from this house, was just Jessie and I, as Maureen and I were just getting together. This was before we had hardly any furniture, and you may notice that the Christmas tree is in the front picture window. Not up in front of the bookcase by the entrance to the dining room.

There will be more pictures added, just give me a little more time!
